Why Frankincense smells differently from the same brand?

You may come across comments from Frankincense users that the smell varies between different brands. Some even claimed that a new bottle of Frankincense oil from the same manufacturer smells differently from the existing ones.

As with anything grown naturally, soil conditions, and climates can be contributing factors to the varying aroma. The chances of natural conditions affecting the aroma are high if the distillation process and other quality control measures have been streamlined by the manufacturer.

  1. Hi Kenny

I think frankincense essential oil is great for health in general. I personally use it for my digestion. I had a really bad digestion system, I could go for days without feeling the need to relieve myself and my mum who is a nurse advised me to take it once or twice a week. I have been doing it for the past year on and off. But it has been 6 months since I took it last, and my digestion is now better, so I don’t feel the need to take it anymore.

I think it’s a great product and people should try it. And I really enjoyed reading your post.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. Great to hear that you’ve benefited from frankincense oil.

  2. Hey Kenny, Thanks for educating me on the Best Frankincense Essential Oils in 2019. I was unaware that there were so many health benefits, to be fair all I really knew was that it was a present from the 3 wise men when Jesus was born hahah. Improved digestion would be what I would find the most beneficial, I like the US Organic Pure Frankincense Essential Oil and will be checking it out.

  3. Hi, I’m Gomer Magtibay, a pharmacist from the Philippines.

This reminds me of the gifts the wise men gave Jesus when they were visiting Him in a manger in Bethlehem. One of the gifts they gave the Child is Frankincense! Good job coming up with this review. It’s educational and refreshing at the same time.

I wanna try one of these but looking through the list of brands here, it looks like all of them are galenicals in size. I think the largest preparation that I see here is 30ml. Do they have bigger sizes like 60ml for a month-long supply?

    • HI Gomer,

Thanks for checking out the guide and sharing a lovely story.

You can check out Majestic Pure, which has a 118 ml bottle. I believe that will last you a while.

  4. Thank you for this very informative post.I have not come across such a good informative post as this. most of the posts I have read say that you can’t ingest essential oils, which is not true, as you said you have to make sure the oils are for oral use.

I have been using essential oils for a few years now. I was taking Frankincense for a while for seizures I was wondering if you have ever heard of that since it was not in your list? It would keep me calm and help me to feel more comfortable, as well as keep me from having a seizure. I just wondered if you had ever heard of that?

    • Hi Lynda,

Generally, it is not recommended for you to ingest essential oil. Only do so when it’s specified by the manufacturer and you’ll need to follow the instructions.

Thanks for sharing your experience of using Frankincense for seizure. I’ll research more about it and share the facts in due time.
